The Art of Software Development

I am an engineer turned computer scientist with a special interest in object-oriented programming and software design. I have loved computers from the time I wrote my first program in Basic. Times and computers have changed, but my passion for them has not. In fact, I found that the engineering profession was too boring because it didn’t evolve fast enough and was too bureaucratic. That is not an issue with software development (although the bureaucratic part can be). You better be a self-started who learns fast to stay sharp in this profession! I hope to share my experiences in this blog with the Internet community as I wrestle daily with my development endeavors.

I do have a life besides computers. I live in North Carolina with my beautiful wife and two awesome children. I love all things outdoors and especially enjoy mountain biking on sweet single track. You can catch my son and I on the trails whenever they are dry and I have some free time.
